From 2NE1 to BLACKPINK…YG’s 2025 To Be Filled with the Queen’s Grand World Tour
[OSEN=지민경 기자] BLACKPINK is set to carry on the baton from 2NE1 with a colossal world tour in 2025, heralding the ‘Return of the Queens.’
YG Entertainment announced on their official blog today a 2025 world tour schedule spanning various countries including Korea, North America, Europe, and Japan, showcasing a poster filled with the tour dates.
This marks BLACKPINK’s full-group activity after about two years. Last year, each member focused on individual activities, from releasing solo albums to venturing into acting, leading to a successful period of solo careers. Reuniting after two years, BLACKPINK is expected to demonstrate their evolved skills through their ‘Together Yet Apart’ campaign.
The tour is slated to commence on July 5th and 6th at the Goyang Stadium, marking BLACKPINK’s first-ever solo performance at a K-pop girl group level at this venue.
Following this, they will perform at major stadiums worldwide including LA’s SoFi Stadium, Chicago’s Soldier Field, Toronto’s Rogers Stadium, New York City’s Citi Field, Stade de France in Paris, Ippodromo Snai San Siro in Milan, Estadi Olímpic in Barcelona, and Tokyo Dome, reasserting their status as a top global group.
Notably, BLACKPINK will make their debut at the legendary Wembley Stadium in London, known as the ‘dream stage’ in the UK, marking a first for K-pop female artists and adding significant meaning to their tour.
YG stated, “We are preparing a tour that rivals the scale and quality of the [BORN PINK] tour, writing new history in K-pop. We hope you look forward to the additional locations and dates that will be announced.”
Following the 15th-anniversary Asia tour [WELCOME BACK] of 2NE1, YG Entertainment is set to decorate 2025 brilliantly with BLACKPINK’s new world tour.
After starting their Asia tour in Seoul in October last year, 2NE1 toured 12 cities with 27 shows, drawing a total of 220,000 attendees, proving their undiminished global popularity during their 15th-anniversary tour.
Having attracted approximately 1.8 million attendees with the [BORN PINK] tour from 2022 to 2023, BLACKPINK, returning as a complete group after two years, is anticipated to create even greater synergy.
With a comeback also anticipated this year, interest is high for YG Entertainment’s 2025 lineup, filled with BLACKPINK’s ‘Return of the Queens.’
