BLACKPINK on ‘Tour’, “Touched By French Fans Singing Along in Korean”
[동아닷컴=전효진 기자] Group BLACKPINK colored Paris in pink. The fan club BLINK got closer to BLACKPINK by singing along in Korean while BLACKPINK greeted the fans in French language, creating unforgettable memories together.
On May 26(local time), BLACKPINK held the ‘BLACKPINK 2019 WORLD TOUR with KIA [IN YOUR AREA] PARIS’ in ZENITH PARIS LA VILLETTE.
The arena was crowded with BLINKS welcoming BLACKPINK while holding ‘bbyong bongs’, which are the official light sticks for BLACKPINK. BLACKPINK held their first-ever concert in Paris, France to meet the local fans. The BLINKs of France greeted BLACKPINK with passionate heat, as if they were finished warming up. The audience who attended the concert stood up and became united by enjoying music. They participated the concert in their own ways, by mimicking the choreography and jumping throughout the entire show.
From the opening song ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU’ through the encore song ‘HOPE NOT’, the French fans connected with BLACKPINK by singing-along in Korean. ROSÉ could not hide her surprise and stated, “It’s our first time performing in Paris, and we’re touched that you are singing along in Korean, which is difficult”. LISA smiled while stating, “I’m happy when I watch the fans dancing and singing-along to our music”.
For the BLINKs of France who touched BLACKPINK by singing-along in Korean, BLACKPINK responded by speaking French, which they have practiced hard for the concert. The members got closer to the fans by using sentences such as “Merci Beaucoup, thank you”, “On vous aime, we love you”, and “Bonsoir, good evening”.
The members of BLACKPINK, who were touched by the fans of France who were more active and dynamic than ever, requested for brighter stage lights during the concert, which grabbed the people’s attention. The members kept on yelling, “Merci Beaucoup”, while picturing the faces of each fan who were emitting passionate energy.
At the end of the concert, the fans prepared a special event for BLACKPINK. When the final encore performance ended, banners that read, ‘WELCOME IN OUR AREA’, ‘WE’LL SURPASS THE SKY’, and ‘BEST WHEN IT’S ALL OF US’ filled up the arena. It was the moment when the sincere thoughtfulness of the fans in France have moved BLACKPINK’s hearts.
After completing their concert in Paris, France, BLACKPINK will head to Barcelona, Spain on the 28th for the finale concert of their Europe tour.
