YG’s BABYMONSTER’s Surprise Pre-Debut Song Release…7 Members’ Touching Harmony

On the 13th, their agency YG Entertainment revealed that the pre-debut song ‘DREAM’ of BABYMONSTER would be released through their official YouTube channel at 0:00 on the 14th.
‘DREAM’ was previously featured in the final competition scene of BABYMONSTER’s debut reality show ‘Last Evaluation’ EP.8, where the members encouraged each other. It has since received a hot response and there was a flood of requests from fans to release the complete song.
The song, which marked the grand finale of the end-of-month evaluation, is especially meaningful as it signifies the new beginning of BABYMONSTER. The beautiful harmony of the seven members and the lyrics reminding of the process of passing through the final debut gate together are expected to bring touching emotions.

BABYMONSTER is the girl group launched by YG about 7 years after BLACKPINK. It is composed of members from Korea (AHYEON, HARAM, RORA), Thailand (PHARITA, CHIQUITA), and Japan (RUKA, ASA), and as ‘all-rounders’ equipped with vocals, dance, rap, and visuals, expectations for the group is running high in the global music market.
As trainees before debut, they broke through 2 million YouTube channel subscribers in the shortest period of 129 days for a K-pop girl group, exceeded 400 million cumulative teaser content views, and hinted at a popularity boom in advance. The American Billboard selected them as the ‘K-pop Artist to Watch’ and predicted that “they will bring a new wave to the K-pop genre.”
