[OSEN=강서정 기자] Prospect members of YG rookie girl-group BABYMONSTER sang YG artist ROSÉ’s ‘Gone’ with their own emotions, garnering great reviews from music fans.

On the 18th, YG Entertainment put up a video of BABYMONSTER’s RUKA, PHARITA, and AHYEON covering ROSÉ’s ‘Gone’ on their official social media. Despite it being part of their debut reality ‘Last Evaluation’, the performance didn’t seem like an evaluation stage but an actual performance.

AHYEON, who kicked off the intro, took over the hearts of listeners immediately with her trendy vocal skills and R&B soul. She went back and forth high notes for the chorus, showing her unrivaled stage presence.

PHARITA added even more emotions to the song with her mysterious yet rich vocal tone. Not only did she have the vocal skills, but her way of interpreting the song was outstanding. She made the viewers fall into the song even more with her emotions, describing the story the song was telling.

Another highlight of the stage of Japanese member RUKA’s rap. She created a new rap verse that didn’t exist in the original song and pulled off the fast-beat English rapping with her mid-to-low tone voice.

The performance was a one that proved their title as ‘all-rounder’ trainees. Without any special stage effects or styling, the group filled the area with their voice and melodies built together, which led to global fans complimenting them.

Fans responded to the video by saying “I’m shocked how mature their emotions are despite being so young,” “They have great chemistry as if they’ve already made their debut,” “Vocals, rap, emotions have all exploded”, “Their synergy makes me go silent,” and “This is what YG’s vocals are all about,”

Meanwhile, BABYMONSTER is a rookie girl-group released by YG after BLACKPINK after 7 years. Trainees for the group include 3 Korean members (AHYEON, HARAM, RORA), 2 Thai members (PHARITA, CHIQUITA), and 2 Japanese members (RUKA, ASA), and most of them are in their teens. Their debut reality program for the final selection ‘Last Evaluation’ is released every Friday at 12:00 AM Korea time.
