BLACKPINK To Hold Japanese Concert in 3 Years…Biggest Asia Stadium Scale Among All Girl-Groups

[뉴스엔=박아름 기자] Group BLACKPINK announced their additional concert schedules in Japan.

YG Entertainment put up their Japanese concert poster as part of their ‘BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR [BORN PINK]’ at 3PM of the 7th of December.

According to the poster, BLACKPINK will be holding a total of 4 performances in 2 cities. They will be held at Tokyo Dome on the 8th and 9th of April next year, and at Kyocera Dome on the 3rd and 4th of June next year.

As a result, BLACKPINK now has an expanded tour schedule with 18 performances being held in 11 Asian cities. Starting with Bangkok on January 7th and 8th next year, BLACKPINK will be heading to Hong Kong on January 13th, 14th, 15th, Riyadh on January 20th, Abu Dhabi on March 28th, Kuala Lumpur on March 4th, Jakarta on March 18th, Kaohsiung on March 25th and 26th, and Singapore on May 13th.

BLACKPINK’s concert in Japan comes in about 3 years since their dome tour in 2020 named ‘BLACKPINK 2019~2020 WORLD TOUR IN YOUR AREA’. At the time, BLACKPINK gathered 205,000 audiences in Tokyo, Osaka, and Fukuoka.

Their agency YG said, “Thanks to the enthusiastic response from fans, we confirmed additional Japanese dome tours for their world tour. We’ll meet with fans with performances that live up to their overwhelming status globally, especially since we notified that the performance will be the largest stadium scaled concert among all girl-groups across the world.”

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK is currently on world tour, the biggest of its kind as a K-pop girl group, holding a total of 1.5 million audiences. Tickets to their North American shows sold out completely for all 14 performances in 7 cities. After interacting with some 200,000 fans in North America, they’re now in Europe, performing 10 performances in 7 cities. From 2023, they’ll be heading off to Asia and Oceania.
