BLACKPINK to Enter Stadiums in 6 Years Since Debut, YG “Scale of 1.5 million People”
[뉴스엔=황혜진 기자] Group BLACKPINK (JENNIE, ROSÉ, LISA, JISOO) will kick off their stadium concert in 6 years since their debut.
YG Entertainment unveiled the poster of BLACKPINK’s world tour ‘BORN PINK’ on the 9th of August which contained their performance information in a total of four continents and their cities in North America, Europe, Asia and Oceania.
BLACKPINK announced they will hold 36 performances in 26 cities, just in their 1st tour area announcement. Starting with Seoul on October 15th and 16th, they will head off to Dallas, Houston, Atlanta, Hamilton, Chicago, Newark, and Los Angeles in North America.
They will then wrap up the year in Europe. BLACKPINK will hold concerts London, Barcelona, Cologne, Paris, Berlin, and Amsterdam. They will then meet with local fans by visiting Bangkok, Hong Kong, Riyadh, Abu Dhabi, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Kaohsiung, Manila, Singapore, Melbourne, Sydney and Oakland from January to June next year. As the message “AND MORE” was put on the poster, curiosity and expectations ran high for additional areas to be released.
YG said, “We designed and planned stadium tours as well as arena tours”. They then added “We’re working hard together with best staff members in their respective fields to put on the best performance”.
Through their agency, BLACKPINK said, “We’re very happy we can deliver news from the pre-release, full album, to the tour. We’re always thankful to our BLINKS, and can’t wait to see them soon”.
Ahead of their world tour, BLACKPINK will release their pre-release song “Pink Venom” and M/V at 1PM on August 19th (KST)
They will then release their full-length album and their title-track music video in September
