BLACKPINK Shouts “TEDDY! YG!” at U.S.‘ MTV VMAs…Takes Home Two Awards & LISA Delivers Speech
[마이데일리=이승록 기자] Group BLACKPINK (LISA, JISOO, JENNIE, ROSÉ) took the stage of MTV VMAs which was held at the at the Prudential Center in New Jersey on August 28 local time.
BLACKPINK’s presence was made clear from the red carpet. The four members, LISA, JISOO, JENNIE, ROSÉ, had matching black outfits and showed off their charms with their confident attitude despite being in front of many cameras at the red carpet event. Their trendy styles which expressed each member’s individuality also stood out.
BLACKPINK also excited the audience with their intense performance of ‘Pink Venom’ at the MTV VMAs. The audience applauded to their stage which was full of charisma and personality. BLACKPINK is the first K-POP girl group to ever perform at the MTV VMAs.
BLACKPINK took home the ‘Best Metaverse Performance’ award, and LISA on the ‘Best K-POP’ award at the ceremony. During her acceptance speech, LISA thanked her fans along with “TEDDY and YG”, and showed her appreciation to her YG Entertainment family. She also took a glance at BLACKPINK members who were just as excited as her in the audience seat and said “Thank you always for supporting me”. BLACKPINK was also nominated for the “Group of the Year” award at the 2022 MTV VMAs.
