TREASURE’s Explosive Growth…Wins Main Award at ‘2022 MAMA’ “We will continue to JIKJIN forward”
[OSEN=최나영 기자] YG TREASURE proved their explosive growht as a group in 2022 by sweeping major end-of-year song festivals.
TREASURE took home the ‘Worldwide Fans’ Choice’ award at the ‘2022 MAMA AWARDS’ which was held at Japan’s Kyosera Dome in Osaka on the 29th and 30th. This is the second main trophy they won at a music award following the ‘Artist of the Year’ Award at the ‘The FACT Music Awards’ held in last October.
During their acceptance speech, TREASURE said, “We won an award we dreamed of at a place which was our dream. We’d like to sincerely thank TREASURE MAKERS for giving us this award. This is all thanks to our fans who spent every single moment with us. We love you, and we’ll continue to JIKJIN forward”.
TREASURE also made their presence clear to global K-POP fans by presenting unrivaled live and performance skills during their dynamic stages. To begin with, the group’s rapper line CHOI HYUN SUK, YOSHI and HARUTO performed their unit-song ‘VolKno’, showing off what true hip-hop swag is all about. They appeared under red lights, and heated up the venue with their sharp rapping and intense shouting.
TREASURE then performed ‘JIKJIN’ and their 2nd mini-album title-song ‘HELLO’ with a band session. They stole the hearts of audiences with beats that made everyone’s heart run fast and their distinctive powerful rap and vocals. They even showed how relaxed they were performing on stage by freely taking over the massive stage and enjoying the music.
