TREASURE Release 2nd Japanese mini-album…Riding on the Popularity
[OSEN=선미경 기자] The physical album for YG mega group TREASURE’s new Japanese album ‘THE SECOND STEP : CHAPTER TWO’ was released on the 30th.
A total of 7 tracks were listed on the album. Not only did it include all the songs from TREASURE’s 2nd min-album including the Japanese versions of ‘HELLO’, ‘VolKno’ ‘CLAP!’, but it also included their Japanese original new song ‘病 (YAMAI)’ which member ASAHI took part in the lyrics and composition process.
Enthusiastic responses are already pouring in. The Japanese version of their pre-release title-song ‘HELLO’, which was released on the 23rd of November, already took the top spot on mu-mo, and maintained a high spot on Japan’s biggest music site Line Music’s real-time chart. It also placed 4th on their weekly chart (2022.11.23 ~ 2022.11.29.).
Other track songs which portray TREASURE’s musical colors are also being loved globally. In particular, their new song ‘病 (YAMAI)’ ranked 9th on Line Music and 2nd on Rakuten Music’s real-time ranking as soon as it was released, showing how much trust local fans have toward TREASURE’s music.
TREASURE successfully wrapped up their first concert for their Japanese Arena tour on the 26th and 27th of November at Hokkaido’s Prefectural Sports Center, Hokkai Kitayell. They opened the door of their Arena tour successfully by selling out all tickets early on and by holding additional concerts.
Following their concerts in Hokkaido, TREASURE will head to Fukui, Nagoya, Fukuoka, Hyogo, Tokyo, and Saitama. The group, which saw explosive growth in a short period of time, will enter the Kyosera Dome in Osaka and hold their first dome concert on the 28th and 29th of January.
