BLACKPINK’s ‘Pink Venom’ and ‘Shut Down’ Reaches 400 & 200 Million Views on YouTube Respectfully
[일간스포츠=이세빈 기자] The pre-release song and title song for group BLACKPINK’s second full album achieved a record of surpassing 100 million views one by one.
According to the group’s agency YG Entertainment on the 26th, the M/V for BLACKPINK’s second full album ‘Pink Venom’ exceeded 400 million views on YouTube in the afternoon of the 25th. This feat comes in about 68 days after it was released, and is the 2nd fastest speed to reach the record following ‘How You Like That’.
On the other hand, the M/V for their title song ‘Shut Down’ from their 2nd full album also reached 200 million views the same day. This comes in about 41 days since it was released.
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK topped the U.S. Billboard main album chart ‘Billboard 200’ and the U.K. Official Album Chart ‘Top 100’ with their 2nd full album ‘BORN PINK’, which contains both ‘Pink Venom’ and ‘Shut Down’. As a result, they became the first Asian female artist to dominate the world’s two major charts at the same time.
