BLACKPINK Unveils M/V Teaser for ‘Shut Down’…Unrivaled Visuals
[뉴스1=안태현 기자] The M/V teaser for BLACKPINK’s 2nd full album title-song ‘Shut Down’ has been unveiled.
BLACKPINK’s agency YG Entertainment uploaded the M/V teaser clip for their new song ‘Shut Down’ on the 14th.
Although the teaser clip was only 23 seconds long, attention was immediately drawn as soon as part of the ‘Shut Down’ song played at the end. Paganini’s classic number ‘La Campanella’ was sampled in a trendy way, notifying how addictive the melody will be.
On top of a mysterious yet trendy beat, ROSÉ’s voice singing ‘Keep watching me Shut it Down’ echoed in the most beautiful way. The intense sound that exploded with the rising tension created beautiful harmony with LISA’s gesture, leaving a strong impact to the audience.
The streets within the M/V was filled with objects that had BLACKPINK’s past hit-songs on it. It reminded fans of the musical journey they’ve been going on with BLACKPINK, raising expectations on the full music video even more.
The way in which BLACKPINK’s unrivaled visuals were portrayed one by one was absolutely phenomenal. ROSÉ gave off a free vibe while riding a car, and JENNIE wearing a black shirt looked straight to the camera with her charismatic eyes. JISOO with a hip-hop mood boasted her fatal charms, and LISA who appeared in the pouring rain showed off her distinctive girl-crush aura.
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK’s 2nd full album ‘BORN PINK’ will be released at 1PM on the 16th (KST). They plan on holding a ‘COUNTDOWN PARTY’ on their official YouTube channel an hour early and talk about their new song and their future activities. They will then kick off their world-tour schedule starting with Seoul on the 15th and 16th of October at Seoul Olympic Park KSPO Dome.
