Hip-Hop Legend Snoop Dogg feels honored to perform with 2NE1

The world-renown rapper is excited to be performing with 2NE1 for his first South Korean concert and said that 2NE1 is a group that has a lot in common with him.

Snoop Dogg was in Seoul’s Ritz Carlton Hotel in Gangnam Yeoksam on May 4 for a press conference before his very first concert in the country dubbed “Unite All Originals Live with Snoop Dogg”.

He was in a track suit with a red coat, a unique match, just like his music, said that it is visit to South Korea for the first time and is very excited about it.

“2NE1 I love you!” he said, “preparing for the concert I realized there is much we have in common (in music) and I am sure together we can show something great,” he said.

After the conference from 7p.m., his concert kicks off in Seoul’s Olympic Park Soccer Field.

The concert came into place when Adidas Originals selected Snoop Dogg as the global artist to represent their brand image. It is more special because 2NE1, who is an Adidas Originals Korean model, will be joining Snoop Dogg.

Snoop Dogg made his first debut when he was discovered by producer DR. DRE in 1992, thanks to his strong impression of his unique rapping and voice. In the following year he released his first single “The Chronic” and paved the path for G-funk, which after became the main genre in of West’s Hip-hop. His album sold a whopping 1 million copies.

The debut album dubbed “Doggy Style”, after its release in 1993, immediately stood at the top of Billboard Chart. His appearance was a pleasant surprise to the world, with his slow rapping and uncensored lyrics. Since then he has sold 170 million copies of his albums in total for 20 years, and is now a Hip-hop legend of the world.
