TREASURE to Comeback February 15th, Expectations Rise as YG’s First Comeback in 2022
[마이데일리=곽명동 기자] While YG mega group TREASURE confirmed their comeback on the 15th of February, pre-orders for their new album began at 12 p.m. today (11th).
The physical album of TREASURE’s [THE SECOND STEP: CHAPTER ONE] takes the form of 3 different types: photo book version, digi-pack version, and a kit.
The photo book version will be released in two different types that have different images, and also includes a photo book worth some 150 pages, random photo card, and stickers.
The digi-pack version will be released in 12 different times using images of each TREASURE member. It includes a booklet of 16 pages, a ground poster where you can feel TREASURE’s new charms, and a random selfie photo card.
The kit album, which allows fans to listen to the music with a smart device without a separate devices comes in 12 different types of images. Various types of photo cards and puzzle sets are included, increasing the value of the collection.
Apart from small parts of the album, TREASURE’s [THE SECOND STEP: CHAPTER ONE] was made using environmentally friendly products, adding even more meaning to the album. Prints were made with FSC certified paper, and the album was produced suing low-carbon environmentally friendly paper and soybean oil ink, along with environmental protection coating.
For the kit album, 100% recycled paper certified by FSC and biodegradable plastic (PLA) were used. The packaging vinyl also used eco-friendly resins made from raw materials extracted from corn starch, showing how much effort TREASURE and YG is putting towards environmental protection.
Previously, TREASURE has appealed for participating in protecting our Earth. They had said “The three words we thought when it comes to taking action on environmental protection are interest, participation, and steadiness”. They then vowed “We will also make an effort in finding answers, practice what we can, and steadily develop the scope of actions”.
TREASURE who made their debut in August 2020 released 4 albums in just 5 months with the speedy yet focused strategy of YG. They sold a total of one million albums and established their presence as a global rising stars. Attention is now being drawn to what kind of musical colors and performance they will show, after sweeping Rookie of the Year Awards at major music awards last year.
