BLACKPINK ROSÉ’s Solo Album is Titled ‘R’… Teaser Poster Revealed
[한경닷컴=이준현 기자] The title of BLACKPINK ROSÉ’s debut solo album has been revealed. It took the first letter of her name, signifying ‘her new beginning as a solo artist’.
On March 4, YG Entertainment uploaded the teaser poster for ROSÉ’s first-ever solo single album, ‘R’, through their official blog. The clean restrained image looked charming, while matching the short yet impactful album title.
ROSÉ staring at the camera while lying down on a hall filled with purple grabbed the people’s attention. Her empty eyes without focus created a dreamlike vibe as well as raising the curiosities on what kind of stories she will tell.
Detailed information on the album release schedule have also been revealed, gathering the attention of global music fans. According to YG, the single album ‘R’ will be released on March 12 at 0 AM EST, 2PM KST.
She is expected to create a sensation since her short teaser clip resulted in explosive responses among the global fans.
ROSÉ revealed her performance of ‘GONE’, the sub-title track of her upcoming solo album, at BLACKPINK’s livestream concert ‘THE SHOW’ (YG PALM STAGE – 2021 BLACKPINK: THE SHOW) held on January 31, which resulted in passionate support from the audience.
The ROSÉ – COMING SOON TEASER for the song is heading towards 50M views on YouTube. Despite being a short 33-second clip, the view count is unprecedentedly high. It shows the music fans’ high anticipation on ROSÉ’s upcoming solo project.
Approximately 2 months ago, YG has revealed, “The MV shooting for ROSÉ’s solo album title track has completed” and explained, “Since it is a masterpiece created with enormous amounts of production costs, we are doing our best on post production to raise its level of completion”.
