iKON, “Never Been This Busy in 6 Years Since Debut”… Preparing for ‘Why Why Why’ Comeback+’Kingdom’
[OSEN=이승훈 기자] While iKON is preparing for the release of their upcoming single next week while practicing for Mnet’s ‘Kingdom’, the group revealed their sincerity and passion towards their fans.
According to YG Entertainment on March 27, iKON has “Never been so busy ever since making debut”, and are working hard every day until late hours in the practice room.
It is because they are about to release their digital single ‘Why Why Why’ on March 3, while the group also has to prepare for their performance at Mnet’s boy group competition program ‘Kingdom’, which premieres on April 1.
Despite establishing their new direction and proving their unchanged global popularity through their third mini album ‘i DECIDE’ last year, it is true that the group went through a stagnant phase. They are determined to repay the fans’ love and support more than ever.
The members of iKON stated, “Although it’s physically tough, we’re so happy” and revealed their overwhelming thoughts by adding, “We don’t get tired due to the surge of adrenaline. It feels like our emotions that stacked up due to us not being able to meet the fans are bursting out at once”.
The members also stated, “Since we’re practicing so much, we’re losing weight even without a specific diet plan” and added, “We would like to present great performances for the fans who have supported and waited for us, to repay the love we’ve received”.
iKON’s passion has been proven early on. The group presented a fierce and grand performance at the ‘Kingdom: Legendary War’ previewed through the Mnet YouTube live broadcast on the 23rd, proving their excellent condition and experience.
While iKON’s performance was airing and was putting the viewers in awe, the viewers of ‘Kingdom: Legendary War’ rose to approximately 360 thousand, which led to positive reviews on iKON after the broadcast was over.
iKON is planning to actively communicate with the fans after the release of their single ‘Why Why Why’, through various ways including their appearance on a competition program.
