iKON Confirmed to Make Comeback on March 3rd
[텐아시아=최지예 기자] Group iKON confirmed their comeback on March 3rd. Since the group will be returning to the scene in approximately a year, the global fans are paying keen attention.
On February 17, YG Entertainment uploaded the iKON-DIGITAL SINGLE CONCEPT TEASER #1 through their official blog.
In the 17-second black and white video, the members of iKON appeared in turn with mystic sounds. In a tunnel which seemed to symbolize infinity, the video capturing the members and the group with spaciousness looked unique and fresh.
The members of iKON grabbed the viewers’ attention with their all-black stylings as well as emitting unrivaled vibes through their classic yet chic visuals, making the people wonder about their upcoming concept.
The date ‘2021.03.03’ was marked at the end of the clip, which raised the fans’ anticipation. The fans were delighted since the specific comeback date has been revealed, following the previously released COMING SOON poster.
After regrouping as a 6-member group, iKON has established the group’s new direction through their third mini album ‘i DECIDE’ released last year on February. The album topped iTunes charts in 24 different countries, including Japan. The album was also placed on the top ranks of major Chinese music platforms, proving the group’s unchanged global popularity.
After making debut back in 2015, iKON released numerous hits including ‘MY TYPE’, ‘LOVE SCENARIO’, and ‘KILLING ME’.
Meanwhile, iKON has confirmed their appearance on Mnet’s boy group survival program ‘Kingdom’, scheduled to premiere on April 1, and is expected to play a big role at the show.
