YG TREASURE’s ‘MY TREASURE’ Dance Practice Video Revealed… Musical-like Performance, ‘Hope·Positivity UP’
[OSEN=이승훈 기자] YG’s rookie group TREASURE revealed the dance practice video for the title track of their official debut album, ‘MY TREASURE’.
It was a one-take clip filming all 12 members of TREASURE from the beginning of the performance to the end in one cut, which received favorable reviews from global fans.
The members of TREASURE reminded the viewers of an exciting musical performance. Like the lyrics of the song with hopeful lyrics, TREASURE presented a ‘group dance’ differentiated from their existing dances with exciting and energetic facial expressions.
The ‘smile dance’, which is the move where they point their cheeks while smiling on the lyrics ‘You’re prettier when you smile’, maximized TREASURE’s lovely charms.
As cute charm points were added on top of TREASURE’s unique and positive energy, their bright and healthy image was finally completed. It was the reason why the video was so immersive despite being a dance practice video without glamorous stage lights.
The members’ visuals full of freshness were bonuses. The video is also expected to be followed up by the global fans’ dance covers, since it allowed the viewers to fully understand the entire performance of ‘MY TREASURE’, which was previously hard to spot in one sight through music broadcasts or the MV of the song.
‘MY TREASURE’ is a bright mood Pop song attempted by TREASURE for the first time. The performance of ‘MY TREASURE’ was created with world-famous choreographers Sienna Lalau, Kinjaz, and Keone Madrid who have collaborated with TREASURE since the group’s previous singles.
The title songs of TREASURE’s 3 single albums including ‘BOY’, ‘I LOVE YOU’, and ‘MMM’ became popular through their impactful performances based on strong sounds.
On the other hand, ‘MY TREASURE’ expresses its exciting melody and lyrics through upbeat moves. The dance is composed of easy dance moves following the body movement as the listener listens to the track with story.

TREASURE’s official debut album ‘THE FIRST STEP : TREASURE EFFECT’ topped the Retail Albums chart of Gaon Charts for the 3rd week of January(2021.01.10~2021.01.16). The album also topped the Albums Top 100 chart of Line Music, the biggest music platform in Japan, as well as being ranked at no. 1 on the real-time sales rankings as well as the daily rankings.
