[한국경제TV=유병철 기자] AKMU’s MV for their upcoming single ‘HAPPENING’ has partially unveiled, grabbing the eyes and ears of music fans.

On November 13 at 9 AM, YG Entertainment uploaded the MV teaser for AKMU’s third single ‘HAPPENING’ through their official blog. The video reminded the love and breakup that remained next to people’s youth at least once.

The MV teaser began with an exciting electric guitar and drum beats, inviting people to AKMU’s charming musical world. The lyrical melodies and emotions following the acoustic sounds also raised their emotions.

The teaser made the people more curious and made them look forward to the story of ‘HAPPENING’. It was because the contrasted MV stories of LEE CHAN HYUK and LEE SUHYUN shot in separate spaces stood out.

In the MV, LEE CHAN HYUK appeared as if he was in trouble while covering his head with his hands when the curtains inside a train were blowing by the wind. Meanwhile, LEE SUHYUN appeared with a bright facial expression. One night, she looked as if she was excited while waiting for someone at the restaurant. They both turned around as if they have spotted someone.

Scenes with symbolic meanings also grabbed the people’s attention. In agony, LEE CHAN HYUK checked a space full of spider webs and began running towards somewhere, eventually arriving in a train with a direction board that read ‘HAPPENING’. Then the song began playing, ‘You just my happening’, leaving a strong impression as if it was a teen film.

AKMU’s ‘HAPPENING’ will be released on November 16 at 6 PM. It is in a month since the release of LEE SUHYUN’s first solo single ‘ALIEN’ and approximately a year and 2 months since the release of AKMU’s 3rd album ‘Sailing’.

AKMU has not only achieved public popularity but was also recognized for their musical artistry through their third album ‘Sailing’ released last year. The title song ‘How Can I Love the Heartbreak, You’re the One I Love’ from the album achieved an ‘all-kill’ on major Korean music charts and has maintained its top spot for a long time. The song is still receiving love and support from its listeners and is ranked in the top 20s of Melon’s daily chart until now, a year after its release.
