On September 22 at 4 PM, YG Entertainment uploaded an additional individual member poster of JISOO for BLACKPINK’s official debut album, ‘THE ALBUM’, through their official blog.
In the poster, JISOO presented both pure and provocative charms with her thin smokey makeup. Her untidy hair and strong eyes reminded the viewers of a wandering teenager.
The mood made contrast with JISOO”s glamorous visuals in extraordinary styling and her red lips, which fascinated the global fans. The fans became even more curious about the upcoming BLACKPINK’s debut album concept.
BLACKPINK will release their official debut album ‘THE ALBUM’ on October 2, in 4 years since making debut. Since they will be targeting the global market, the album will be released at 12 AM in US Eastern Time, and at 1 PM on the same day in Korean Standard Time.
Detailed information on the album is still in veil, but BLACKPINK has been raising the music fans’ anticipation through their pre-release singles ‘How You Like That’ and ‘Ice Cream’.
BLACKPINK’s album pre-order sales volume are also unusual. The 1st pre-order volume for ‘THE ALBUM’ were accumulated to 800 thousand copies in just 6 days. The figure was accumulated with a month left until the official release of the album, so actual sales are expected to increase even further.
Meanwhile, physical copies of BLACKPINK’s ‘THE ALBUM’ will be released on October 6 through nationwide retailers online and offline. Furthermore, the group’s Netflix original documentary titled ‘BLACKPINK: Light Up the Sky’ will premiere on October 14.
