TREASURE’s ‘BOY’ MV Surpasses 30M Views in 19 Days

[한국경제TV=유병철 기자] YG’s rookie group TREASURE is racking up YouTube channel subscribers and MV views after making debut on August 7.

According to YG Entertainment, TREASURE’s official YouTube channel has surpassed 2M subscribers as of August 29 at 12 PM. They’ve added approximately 700 thousand new subscribers in less than a month after making debut. The MV for their title song ‘BOY’ also surpassed 30M views on the 26th, in 19 days since its release on YouTube.

They are racking up views and subscribers at a fast pace, considering that not even a month has passed since they’ve released their debut single album ‘THE FIRST STEP : CHAPTER ONE’ and began their full-scale activities.

TREASURE is YG’s rookie group presented in 4 years since BLACKPINK, who has received attention as a group targeting the global market from the start.

Their title song ‘BOY’ topped iTunes Song charts in 19 countries, topped the daily chart of Line Music, which is the biggest music platform in Japan, and even topped China QQ Music’s Top Rising chart. They also achieved over 200 thousand album sales, proving themselves as the biggest rookie K-Pop group who has made debut this year.

Furthermore, TREASURE was listed on the top ranks of US Billboard ‘World Digital Song Sales’, ‘Emerging Artists’, and ‘Social 50’ charts. They’ve entered the ‘Social 50’ chart for 9 consecutive weeks and is ranked at no. 3, proving their global influence.
