YG’s Rookie Group TREASURE Reveals Behind the Scenes of First-Ever Fan Signing Event
[일간스포츠=김연지 기자] YG’s rookie group TREASURE sincerely connected with the global fans through their first-ever online fan signing event.
On August 23, YG Entertainment uploaded the behind the scenes video of their first-ever online fan signing event, held to celebrate the release of ‘THE FIRST STEP : CHAPTER ONE’. The 12 members smiled full of excitement and joy throughout the entire event schedule.
DOYOUNG revealed his thoughts by stating, “We get so much energy from communicating with the fans through video in real-time”, while YOON JAE HYUK also expressed his gratitude by stating, “It was so happy. I hope to make good memories for us and the fans”.
After making debut on the 7th, TREASURE revealed their presence on various global charts. Their title song ‘BOY’ was ranked at no. 1 on iTunes charts in 19 different countries, entered the Top 5 charts of China’s QQ Music, the Real-time Song Top 100 chart of Line Music, which is Japan’s biggest music platform, Rakuten Music’s Real-time Comprehensive Rankings, and AWA’s Top Rising chart.
The songs from ‘THE FIRST STEP : CHAPTER ONE’ also entered the top 10 of Billboard’s ‘World Digital Song Sales’ chart announced on the 18th(local time).
TREASURE’s debut album ‘THE FIRST STEP : CHAPTER ONE’, released on the 13th, set the biggest album sales record among all K-Pop rookies who have made debut this year, and surpassed at total of 160 thousand initial album sales.
Along with their success, the popularity of TREASURE’s ‘BOY’ Dance Cover Contest being held until the 31st is still heated.
Since the choreography of ‘BOY’, created by 6 world-famous choreographer teams, include the most trendy dances, their performance has grabbed the eyes and ears of global fans. Participants from various countries are showing off their excellent skills on YouTube at this moment, proving the global fans’ high attention toward TREASURE.
