MINO·YOON of WINNER to Release Solo Albums, “Our Goal is to Release Them in Autumn”
[엑스포츠뉴스=최희재 기자] YOON and MINO of WINNER have revealed that they are working on solo albums, making the people look forward to their active music activities in the second half of the year.
Through a fan notice, YG Entertainment has announced MINO and YOON’s new song release plans on the 13th.
YG announced, “MINO’s solo album will be released on October” and added, “He is currently working on the final recording process”. The agency continued, “Since it will be a full-length album rather than a mini album with over 10 songs, it took more time than expected” and asked for the fans’ consideration.
YOON also announced his solo album release. However, he is currently focusing on his role in MBC’s Monday and Tuesday drama, ‘Kairos’, scheduled to premiere on October 26, to show his better side as an actor.
YG explained, “YOON is working on his solo album in his spare time despite his busy schedule”. The agency added, “It is hard to estimate the exact timing since the drama shooting schedules and music work schedules have overlapped, but he is doing his best with the goal of releasing his solo album during autumn”.
YG also wrote, “We sincerely thank the fans’ unchanging affections and expectations on the group”. They asked, “Please show support for JIHOON and HOONY of WINNER, who are currently serving their military duties which started in April”.
Meanwhile, WINNER released their third album ‘Remember’ prior to JINU and HOONY entering the Army Training Center and received love from fans in and out of Korea. The album topped no. spots of 5 major Korean music charts and topped iTunes Top Song charts in 20 different countries although WINNER did not perform any promotional activities.
