‘Debut D-2’ TREASURE Spoils ‘BOY’ Choreography+Melody, “First Attempt by YG… Expectations on Group Dance Moves↑”
[OSEN=이승훈 기자] YG’s rookie group TREASURE revealed part of the strong choreography and melody of ‘BOY’, the title song of their upcoming first single album, with their debut only 2 days ahead.
On August 5 at 9 AM, YG Entertainment uploaded the ‘BOY’ CHOREOGRAHPY TRAILER through their official blog.
The 2-minute video borrowed the format of a documentary and filmed TREASAURE’s choreography practice scene. As a result, the clip teased part of the performance of ‘BOY’ and included the highlight melody of the song. TREASURE’s narration was added in the black and white background as well, passing on the members’ sincerity and passion.
Leader CHOI HYUN SUK stated, “The choreography for ‘BOY’ is the most difficult dance I’ve ever practiced”, making the people realize the hard work they’ve been putting in.
YOSHI recalled, “All the members loved the choreography when we first got it” and when JUNKYU added, “Meanwhile, we were worried that ‘Will we be able to pull it off’”, ASAHI revealed his aspirations by replying, “It’s nervous, but we don’t have to fear anything since we’re with our members”.
SO JUNG HWAN, the youngest member, noticed TREASURE’s tight teamwork and sharp group dance by explaining, “It’s like becoming united when we dance”. BANG YE DAM stated, “I’m happy to feel the joy of dancing through ‘BOY’” and revealed his excitement towards TREASURE’s upcoming debut stage by adding, “I want to fly on stage. Until my body breaks”, at the final interview.
The partial melody of ‘BOY” revealed along with the dance practice scene also grabbed the fans’ attention. The synthesizer sounds and heavy bass which escalated the mood created a harmony with the drum sounds, making the listeners feel explosive joy. The fans are curious on how the full song will harmonize with TREASURE’s performance.
TREASURE’s debut title song, ‘BOY’, was produced by talented producers of YG’s The Black Label including R.Tee, CHOICE37, HAE, and Se.A. Members of TREASURE including HARUTO and CHOI HYUN SUK also participated in the rap making themselves, which added more meaning.
On August 7 at 4 PM, 2 hours prior to the release of their album, TREASURE will share stories regarding their album and MV through their debut countdown V LIVE broadcast. TREASURE’s debut single album ‘THE FIRST STEP : CHAPTER ONE’ will be released on the 7th at 6 PM. The physical copies including the instrumental versions of songs will be available starting from the 13th through YG SELECT and nationwide retailers online and offline.
