BLACKPINK to Release Second Single on August 28… Who’s the Featuring Artist?

[텐아시아=우빈 기자] Group BLACKPINK’s second single will be released on August 28. People looking forward to BLACKPINK’s accelerated force since they’ve hit the global music industry with ‘How You Like That’.

On August 4 at 9 AM, YG Entertainment uploaded BLACKPINK’s ‘NEW SINGLE RELEASE’ poster through their official blog. The poster had the phrase, ‘2020.08.28 Fri’.

In the sweet pink background, the lovely images of 4 BLACKPINK members were presented. In the divided cuts, the members revealed their sweet and jolly charms of their own.

In the four cuts, a question mark was still marked in the middle, raising curiosities on the featuring artist. The people are wondering what kind of artist BLACKPINK worked with, since they’ve previously gathered the global fans’ attention with the song ‘Sour Candy’, collaborated with Lady Gaga.

BLACKPINK has achieved remarkable success with their pre-release title song ‘How You Like That’ released on June, by setting new K-Pop records in global charts and on YouTube.

‘How You Like That’ not only achieved a ‘perfect all-kill’ on major Korean music charts including Melon, but also won 13 titles on music broadcasts, was ranked at no. 2 on Spotify’s Global Top 50 chart, was ranked at no. 20 on UK’s Official Singles Chart, and at no. 33 on the US Billboard Hot 100, setting the best K-Pop girl group records in history.

They were also listed on 5 categories of the Guinness World Records including the ‘Most Watched Video in 24 Hours’ category as well as becoming the fastest video to surpass 100M views, 200M views, and 300M views. The number of BLACKPINK channel subscribers also increased rapidly, allowing them to surpass Ariana Grande and becoming the female artists with the greatest number of subscribers in the world.

BLACKPINK has not only received success from the public, but also received favorable reviews as artists. ‘tracklist’, the global music magazine, chooses 50 global artists every year which BLACKPINK was ranked at no. 33, which was the highest rank among all K-Pop artists this year.
