BLACKPINK’s MV For ‘AS IF IT’S YOUR LAST’ Surpasses 800M Views… 4 MVs With Over 800M Views, ‘First·Most in K-Pop’

[OSEN=김은애 기자] The MV for BLACKPINK’s ‘AS IF IT’S YOUR LAST’ surpassed 800M views on YouTube. It is BLACKPINK’s 4th 800M view record, which is the biggest number among all K-Pop artists.

According to YG Entertainment on June 12, the MV for BLACKPINK’s ‘AS IF IT’S YOUR LAST’ surpassed 800M YouTube views on the 11th at 9:30 PM.

‘AS IF IT’S YOUR LAST’ is a dance track with a catchy lead synth which grabs the listeners’ ears. The romantic lyrics and video which request to love as if it’s your last has received steady love from the fans.

The song was listed on US Billboard’s ‘The Top 25 Songs on YouTube that Hit Summer This Year’ back in 2017, while the video was also selected as the ‘Most Loved K-Pop Video in the World’ that year.

BLACKPINK’s record march on YouTube is unrivaled. In addition to ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU’(1.1B) which has the first and best record in K-Pop group history, they have a total of 4 videos with over 800M views including ‘BOOMBAYAH’, ‘Kill This Love’, and ‘AS IF IT’S YOUR LAST’.

Meanwhile, the MVs for ‘BOOMBAYAH’ and ‘Kill This Love’ are about to surpass 900M views, which will allow BLACKPINK to renew their own records, as usual.

In addition, BLACKPINK has a total of 18 videos with over 100M views including their 8 official MVs and dance practice videos. Furthermore, BLACKPINK’s official YouTube channel has 36.3 million subscribers.

BLACKPINK’s presence is also growing in the major Pop industry. The song ‘Sour Candy’ by BLACKPINK and Lady Gaga has topped iTunes charts in 57 different regions of the world and the Global YouTube Song Top 100 chart.

Furthermore, the song entered the US ‘Billboard Hot 100’ and UK’s ‘Official Chart Singles Top 40’ as no. 33 and no. 17, respectively. They are regarded as two of the biggest Pop charts in the world. The records were the highest in K-Pop girl group history, which made major foreign press spotlight BLACKPINK’s achievement.

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK has confirmed their comeback on the 26th. After the release of their pre-release title song, they will release two new songs in special formats between July~August and will release their full-length album in September.
