BLACKPINK’s ‘Kill This Love’ Selected as the Best MV of 2019 by Tracklist
[텐아시아=우빈 기자] Group BLACKPINK’s MV for ‘Kill This Love’ was selected as the best MV of 2019 by ‘Tracklist’, the global music magazine.
On December 26(local time), Tracklist, the world’s most prestigious music magazine, gave BLACKPINK’s ‘Kill This Love’ the honor of being selected as the world’s best MV released in 2019.
Among global Pop stars that were ranked within the top 10 including Billie Eilish, Taylor Swift, and Ariana Grande, BLACKPINK was the only K-Pop artist to be included in the list.
‘Tracklist’ mentioned impressive scenes from the MV for ‘Kill This Love’ including ROSÉ’s driving scene and the choreography scene creating harmony with epic trumpet sounds, reviewing the video to be perfect.
Furthermore, ‘Tracklist’ also selected BLACKPINK’s performance at ‘Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival’ as the one of most influential musical events which impacted the international music industry this year, proving the group’s global influence.
BLACKPINK performed at the ‘Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival’ for the first time as a K-Pop group back in April and proved their strong presence. The festival is held in Indio, California every year and is known as the world’s largest music festival.
BLACKPINK’s ‘Kill This Love’ has been selected as the ‘Music Video of the Year’ by Pitchfork, the world’s most prestigious music review magazine. In addition, the song won 3 categories at the ‘E! People’s Choice Awards’, was listed on ‘The 100 Best Songs of 2019: Staff List” by Billboard(no. 66), and was also selected as the Top Song of 2019 by PAPER magazine, which is a popular American magazine of arts and culture.
While setting milestones in Pop music history, BLACKPINK is working on their upcoming album with the goal of making comeback in early 2020.
