BLACKPINK Releases Physical Copies of ‘KILL THIS LOVE’ Today(23rd)… ‘Composition Worthy of Possessing’
[OSEN=지민경 기자] Physical copies of BLACKPINK’s new EP album, ‘KILL THIS LOVE’, have been released today through online and offline retailers.
Starting from today(23rd), BLACKPINK’s ‘KILL THIS LOVE’ became available in physical copies through online and offline retailers including YG SELECT.
The album was released in two versions, Pink and Black. They contain different photobook images and bonus photos. The physical copies will include a photobook, an accordion lyric book, a double-sided poster, a polaroid photo card, a sticker set, a photo zine, and a folded poster, which makes the set worthy of possessing.
The album will contain a total of 5 tracks in addition to the title song ‘KILL THIS LOVE’, including the sub-title song ‘Don’t Know What To Do’, ‘Kick It’, ‘Hope Not’, and a remix version of ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU’.
BLACKPINK their album’s level of completion through a broadened musical spectrum by containing not only their usual charismatic rap and vocals, but also sentimental and mournful music.
‘KILL THIS LOVE’ became the center of attention as soon as the song was released on the 5th, by topping iTunes Song charts in 37 different regions of the world, including the US.
Furthermore, they set a milestone in K-Pop girl group history by entering the ‘Hot 100’, Billboard’s main singles chart, as no. 41, and entering the ‘Billboard 200’, Billboard’s main album chart, as no. 24. They were also ranked at no. 33 on UK Official Chart’s ‘Singles Top 100’ and no. 40 on the ‘Album Chart Top 100’. The UK Official Chart is known as one of the two biggest Pop music charts in the world along with Billboard.
After releasing ‘KILL THIS LOVE’, BLACKPINK received positive reviews on their performance at ‘Coachella Festival’, the biggest music festival of the US, and met the local viewers of the US by appearing on CBS’ famous late-night talk show, ‘The Late Late Show with James Corden’.
After completing the first concert of their North America tour in Los Angeles on April 17(local time), BLACKPINK will head to Chicago on the 24th to hold their second concert as part of their North America tour schedule, consisted of 8 concerts in a total of 6 cities.
