[POP INTERVIEW] ‘Comeback’ WINNER, “The Reason Why WINNER is Loved is Because Us Members Love Each Other”
[헤럴드POP=김나율기자] Group WINNER revealed their sincere thoughts on the reason why they were loved as WINNER.
WINNER will make comeback today (19th) at 6 PM with their new single ‘MILLIONS’, in approximately 3 months. The song is a fresh Tropical Pop/Dance track that contains the message that everyone has millions of reasons to be loved. All members participated in the writing and composing of the song to present their musical capabilities.
Like the message of their new single, WINNER probably has millions of reasons to be loved as well. What would they think is the biggest reason? In Lotte Hotel L7 Hongdae located in Yanghwa-ro, Mapo-gu, Seoul, WINNER’s YOON told Herald POP, “It’s because WINNER is consisted of hard working young men”, without hesitation. He continued, “Numerous young men are working hard for their living these days. We’re one of them, and we’re also going through fierce competition”.
What would the other members think. HOONY came up with an unexpected answer. That they are a team with both experience and pureness. HOONY explained, “The words experienced and pure may sound very contrasting. We are very pure but have smart charms at the same time”.
As he realized our unfamiliar reactions, HOONY added, “We’ve never been late or canceled our schedule, not even once, so we’re reliable. In fact, there are many incidents when idols reach their 4th or 5th year since debut. We’re not like that, so many people would want to work with us. Haha”.
WINNER made debut through a survival program titled ‘WIN’. MINO thought the reason they are loved came from that program. MINO explained, “The members have clear and unique personalities. During the program ‘WIN’, if almost felt like we weren’t harmonized due to our unique characters. But as time passed and our characters became mingled, that became WINNER’s unique color”.
In the end, JINU touched the members’ hearts with an unexpected reason. After carefully thinking about the reason why the group is loved, he confessed, “I can’t be sure, but because the members take care of each other and love each other more than we love ourselves. We care about each other. That’s why we deserve to be loved”, surprising YOON. JINU continued, “I may be the only one to think this way, but I love my members”.
WINNER has been through a long time while respecting each other’s personalities and caring for each other. Maybe the reason why they are loved by the public is because they care for each other sincerely. Like their new single ‘MILLIONS’, WINNER was a group with millions of reasons to be loved.
