WINNER’s Fierce Entry to Jakarta … A ‘Legendary Concert’ That Overcame the Sweltering Heat [Oh!SSEN CUT]
[OSEN=정지원 기자] WINNER left a strong impression through their first solo tour in Indonesia.
On November 17, WINNER held the 에서 ‘WINNER 2018 EVERYWHERE TOUR IN JAKARTA’ in ‘TENNIS INDOOR SENAYAN’, located in Jakarta, Indonesia. WINNER performed in the venue where global artists such as Bryan McKnight, Westlife, Pitbull, and Kelly Clarkson performed to present their own talents.
The local ‘INNER CIRCLE’ (WINNER’s fan club) gathered at the airport the day prior to the concert to greet WINNER. The teenage girl fans were waiting for WINNER while waving a variety of flowers and plan cards with the members’ names written on them.
The heated support by fans reached its climax on the date of the concert. Despite the sweltering heat of 33 degrees Celsius, the fans took pictures in the photo zone and waved cheering tools created by themselves, while waiting for WINNER.
After starting the opening with their debut song ‘EMPTY’, WINNER continued by performing ‘AIR’, ‘LOVE ME LOVE ME’, and ‘EVERYDAY’.
The members prepared to share their impressions on various languages including Indonesian, English, and Korean, touching the fans with their consideration.
“It’s our first solo concert in Indonesia. I know you’ve waited for us for a long time. We have waited for this moment as well. I hope you enjoy our performances”.
Furthermore, WINNER presented solo performances with each members’ unique characters perfectly portrayed. They communicated with the fans as their nickname, ‘fan lovers’. YOON stated, “One of my favorite food is nasi goreng. I had it twice today after coming to Indonesia. I’m so happy”, making the fans cheer.
The fans sang ‘MOVIE STAR’ in acapella while waiting for the encore performances, while taking pictures with the slogan that read, ‘WINNER is our MOVIE STAR’.
In the end, WINNER said goodbyes by stating, “Today was a special day. The artists cannot exist without the fans. We’ll be back with a new album. See you again”.
After successfully completing their concert in Jakarta, WINNER will end their Asia tour after their concert being held in Hong Kong on the 24th. Due to the heated support, WINNER will continue holding concerts through their encore concert in Seoul being held next year on January 5, along with their North America tour that will take place on January.
Moreover, MINO will release his first official solo album ‘XX’ on the 26th, to present his musical caliber and his take on the interpretation of the genre Hip-Hop.
