BLACKPINK JENNIE’s First Solo Track Titled ‘SOLO’… Reveals Solo Credit Poster
[헤럴드POP=이미지 기자] BLACKPINK JENNIE’s first solo track title was revealed to be ‘SOLO’.
On October 27 at 10:30 AM, YG Entertainment revealed JENNIE’s first official single credit poster through their official blog. JENNIE revealed her unexpected charms with her baby face contrasting with fiery eyes.
The lyrics for ‘SOLO’ were written by ‘hit maker’ TEDDY, who worked on all songs released by BLACKPINK ever since the group made debut. The song was also composed by TEDDY and 24. It will be a Hip-Hop track containing elements of Pop music and includes producing and song-writing that stand out. The beautiful chords in the intro and the song’s direct and sincere lyrics added on to a simple melody line will captivate the listeners’ ears in an instant.
JENNIE will express the two sides of her including herself as a delicate young girl and herself as an independent and strong woman.
YG’s representative producer YANG HYUN SUK has previously wrote, “We will first release JENNIE’s solo track and continue with ROSÉ’s solo debut. The project is to show that the outstanding talent and skills by all 4 individual members are one of the biggest strengths of BLACKPINK, as much as the group’s strong teamwork”.
JENNIE’s first individual single to be released among members will be revealed for the first time through BLACKPINK’s first-ever concert in Korea, to be held on 11/10 and 11/11 in Seoul Olympic Gymnastics Arena. The K-Pop fans are already looking forward to JENNIE’s musical transformation that will be presented on 11/12.
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK partnered up with Interscope Records, the representative music label of the world-famous Universal Music Group to announce their US debut. YG Entertainment will create various global projects in the future as Universal Music Group’s partner that specializes in the Asian Market. In addition, the MV for ‘BOOMBAYAH’ has surpassed 400 million views on YouTube on the 23rd. It became the first debut song to surpass 400 million views and allowed BLACKPINK to become the K-Pop group with the most number of MVs over 400 million views by holding 3, the highest number among all boy and girl groups.
