US Billboard Spotlights iKON, “No. 2 on World Digital Song Sales Chart”

[스포츠월드=이혜진기자] US Billboard spotlighted iKON’s musical growth.

On August 9 (local time), Billboard introduced, “The boy band’s latest release “Killing Me” debuts at No. 2 on Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales chart to mark the septet’s best position to date”. They continued, “Upon its release, the dark trap-dance cut sold 1,000 downloads in the 24 hours it was eligible to land on this week’s Billboard charts, enough to make ‘Killing Me’ the top-selling K-pop song in America for the week”.

That was not all. iKON’s new mini album NEW KIDS : CONTINUE’ entered the ‘World Albums Chart’ as no. 4, while making debut on ‘The Emerging Artists Chart’ at no. 41. ‘The Emerging Artists Chart’ announces upcoming artists based on indexes from various Billboard charts announced every week.

After making comeback, iKON topped iTunes Album Charts in 24 different countries, Japan’s iTunes Album Comprehensive and K-Pop Album Charts, and China Kugou Music’s K-Pop New Releases Chart, proving the group’s global popularity.

While receiving love from fans in and out of Korea, iKON will hold the first concert of ‘iKON 2018 CONTINUE TOUR’ on August 18 at 5 PM, in Seoul Olympic Gymnastics Arena.

iKON will visit 8 cities as part of their tour including Seoul, Taipei, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Singapore, Manila, Jakarta, and Hong Kong. People are curious on what cities will be further announced to be added on to the tour.
