iKON’s ‘PiKONIC DAY’ Thrills 5 Thousand Audiences… “Will Repay with Good Music”
[매경닷컴=신연경 기자] Group iKON revealed the making video of ‘PiKONIC DAY’ along with approximately 5,000 audiences.
On August 11 at 10 AM, the live footage from ‘PiKONIC DAY’ was uploaded through YG Entertainment’s official blog. The video captured scenes from the sweltering heat that reached 37 degrees Celsius, with fans from Korea, overseas, and families gathered to feel touched and moved along with iKON.
iKON held ‘PiKONIC DAY’ on August 4 in Hangang Park Yebit Island located in Seocho-gu, Seoul. The event was held to repay the love and support received by the fans, as the song ‘LOVE SCENARIO’ became hugely popular among kindergarten and elementary school children.
In the video, iKON shared their thoughts by stating, “’PiKONIC DAY’ is an event organized by our ideas” and continued, “We are very surprised. Thank you all for participating despite the sweltering heat”.
The fans sang along with iKON and reviewed, “We feel empathy with the lyrics of ‘LOVE SCENARIO’, and the song makes us happy”, proving iKON’s massive popularity among the public.
Due to the explosive reactions by fans, iKON occasionally came down from the main stage to shake hands with the fans. They also revealed their ‘fan love’ by taking selfies and hugging young children.
In the end, members of iKON shared their thoughts by stating, “Thank you very much. We will repay you by coming back with good music as always. Please continue to look forward to our music and show love and support”.
Meanwhile, after making a successful comeback in the 2nd half of this year, iKON will hold the first concert of ‘iKON 2018 CONTINUE TOUR’ on August 18 at 5 PM in Seoul Olympic Gymnastics Arena.
They will visit 8 cities as part of their tour including Seoul, Taipei, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Singapore, Manila, Jakarta, and Hong Kong. People are curious on what cities will be further announced to be added on to the tour.
