WINNER is planning a summer comeback. The group is currently shooting music videos for their new songs in Hawaii. YG Entertainment head YANG HYUN SUK let fans have a peak into the music videos by posting scenes of them on his SNS page.
Fans have high expectations for WINNER’s summer comeback because of what they achieved in April. Last year, NAM TAE HYUN left WINNER, and WINNER became a four-member group. The new WINNER made a comeback at 4 PM on April 4. The fours in WINNER’s comeback emphasized WINNER’s new beginning. WINNER came back with a totally different type of song “REALLY REALLY” and it worked. “FOOL” was more of a typical WINNER song, and “REALLY REALLY” was a new attempt for the group.
YG and WINNER probably know that people loves WINNER’s new style of music. Therefore, the new songs are likely to be similar to “REALLY REALLY”. Plus, the music video of the song is currently being shot in Hawaii, and it will definitely have more of a summery feel than if it had been shot in Korea.
YG said, “WINNER will come back with a song perfect for the hot summer season. The two music videos being shot in Hawaii will remined people of a summer vacation. Members will look natural and cool.”.
WINNER had to experience a crisis of losing a member. However, they turned the crisis into an opportunity. Expectations are running high for WINNER’s new songs and how they will cool the hot summer.
