At 6 PM on July 11, the songs and music videos of ONE’s “Getting’ by” and “heyahe” were released.
Before joining YG, ONE had been a member of boy group One Punch and appeared on Mnet’s Show Me The Money. Now, he has debuted as a solo musician with totally different music and look. When he was in One Punch, he was cute. When he was on Show Me The Money, he was fierce. Now, he is soft but controlled.
ONE wrote the lyrics of “Getting’ by” by himself and co-wrote the music with AOMG’s Cha Cha Malone. It’s a sweet warm song, and the lyrics make the listeners feel as if they are listening to someone talking.
The music video of the song features ONE looking bright, clean and pretty. He is the fantasy boyfriend of any girl in this music video.
“heyahe” is co-written by ONE and producing group Groovy Room. It is a mystical song, and ONE sings the song as if he is whispering.
In a press conference that took place earlier on, ONE said he want to convey his inner sexiness with “heyahe”. Indeed, he succeeded showing his languid and sexy side with this song.
ONE announced that he wants to “be the one and only singer”. He has ended his long hiatus with “Getting’ by” and “heyahe”. People are curious whether he will be able to find his identity as a musician and create a new image for himself.
