[Official] “Show Me the Money 4”’s “ONE” to make solo debut on July 11… The first YG artist to come back in the second half of this year
[OSEN=선미경 기자] Rapper “ONE” who appeared in “Show Me the Money” season 4 and 5 and then joined YG Entertainment will be the first YG artist to come back in the second half of this year.
Today in the morning, YG unveiled the first teaser image for ONE’s solo debut scheduled for July 11, on the company’s official blog (www.yg-life.com).
The teaser displays the profile of ONE with wind-blown tender black hair and earphones in the ears. The image like a portrait of a cartoon character catches the eyes.
ONE had debuted as duo “1PUNCH” in January, 2015. Two and a half years after joining YG in the second half of 2015, ONE is now making a solo debut.
ONE with outstanding handsome appearance appeared in “Show Me the Money” season 4 and 5, to display diverse appeals in the process of performing with other rappers. During the two years period since he joined YG, ONE has sharpened his talent for solo debut.
YG’s head producer YANG HYUN SUK directly recruited ONE and he has worked hard to maximize ONE’s songwriting capabilities for the past two years. YANG focused on strengthening ONE’s original talent and color which were not revealed in “1PUNCH” and “Show Me the Money” show and the outcome is finally unveiled on July 11.
Then, how and how much has ONE changed after his two years of training at YG?
YG further raised music fans’ curiosity and anticipation for ONE’s debut by saying, “It would be not easy to predict the direction of ONE’s new music, when considering his image so far. The music will defy everyone’s prediction”.
YG has been dominating music charts during the first half of this year, with continuous new releases by AKMU, SECHSKIES, WINNER, PSY, iKON, G-DRAGON, and BLACKPINK. The fact that ONE is the first YG artist to come back in the second half of this year shows how big expectations YG has have for ONE.
YG now seems to be fully-prepared for ONE’s first solo debut, with more teaser images set to be released one after another for two weeks from today (June 26) until July 11.
