On April 11, the official music video of BLACKPINK’s “PLAYING WITH FIRE” surpassed the 100 million mark by posting 100,003,127 views on YouTube in just five months after release.
“PLAYING WITH FIRE” took the Korean charts by storm upon release. It is also a song that became No.1 on Billboard’s World Digital Song chart. The music video’s phenomenal number of views proves BLACKPINK’s global popularity.
The group’s “BOOMBAYAH” music video also hit 100 million views in just five months after release.
This is an astonishing achievement for a girl group that has only debuted in August last year. BLACKPINK is now the first girl group that has two music videos with more than 100 million views in just a year since debut.
“BOOMBAYAH” and “PLAYING WITH FIRE” music videos are both flamboyant and eye-catching and well illustrate the tough girl charm of BLACKPINK members.
