AKMU Became No.1 on MLT Thanks to its Surprisingly Accurate Dance Imitations
[OSEN=박진영 기자] AKDONG MUSICIAN becomes no.1 on MLT.
The second half of the shows of Lee Kyung-kyu, Kim Gura, AKDONG MUSICIAN, and DinDin aired MBC’s My Little Television on January 14.
AKMU’s show about beauty was the most watched show in the first half. In the second half, AKMU revealed their dancing skills. AKMU members talked about how their dancing skills are underrated. LEE CHAN HYUK said, “People say that AKMU and YG don’t go well together, but I don’t get them because we’re really good at dancing.”
LEE SU HYUN added “We fit right in” and LEE CHAN HYUK went on to say, “For us, the piano and guitar are the real challenges.” Then, they danced to BIGBANG’s “FANTASTIC BABY”.
They also talked about the difference between SM, YG, and JYP dance styles. They said, “JYP artists do a lot of wave moves and YG artists do a lot of powerful bounce moves. SM groups are all about synchronized dances as if the members are just one person.” Then, AKMU imitated the dancing styles of BIGBANG members.
AKMU then asked the “mormot” producer to join them. He wasn’t very good at dancing, but AKMU tried to teach him how to dance well. His dancing didn’t improve much and made everyone laugh. AKMU said, “Doing variety shows is so hard. We almost had a meltdown when we’re teaching him.”
DinDin sold his clothes on his show and announced that he would donate \215,000 of profits for Dokdo. He was doing the show in his room, and DinDin’s mom came in and showed off her wit. When DinDin went to the kitchen to cook, his mom also appeared. DinDin started to point out all the stale food in the fridge to embarrass his mom, which made everyone laugh.
Lee Kyung-kyu did a show about housing and Kim Gura about men’s health and cooking. The fourth place went to DinDin, the third place to Kim Gura, the second place to Lee Kyung-kyu, and the first place to AKMU.
