[MD Review] SECHSKIES Takes Weekly Idol by Storm
[마이데일리 = 이승록 기자] The first generation idol group takes Weekly Idol by storm.
In the afternoon of December 7, Weekly Idol featuring SECHSKIES was aired on MBC Every1.
The hosts of the show, Jeong Hyeong-don and Defconn, first introduced SECHSKIES members as a group whose “average age 37.8” and as “the idol of idols”. SECHSKIES said hello in a loud energetic voice.
Jeong Hyeong-don said, “You guys are the oldest among our guests” and joked that “paramedics are on standby just in case.” SECHSKIES members said, “We didn’t even think for a minute that we would one day come on this show.”
LEE JAIJIN said that he watched this show before when EXID came out and made others laugh by pronouncing the group’s name wrong.
About YANG HYUN SUK, the CEO of the group’s label, KANG SUNGHOON said, “I was a big fan of Seotaiji and Boys. He still feels like a star to me.”
But LEE JAIJIN said, “HYUN SUK? To be frank, he is just a businessman” as a joke. He imitated how YANG HYUN SUK talks and made everyone laugh.
EUN JIWON, the group’s leader, had a tough time all throughout the show.
He squabbled with Jeong Hyeong-don all throughout the show and got angry when he found that other members were not paying attention. When Jeong Hyeong-don pointed out that the new version of “COUPLE” is not much different from the old version, EUN JIWON said that is precisely the point and made everyone laugh.
SECHSKIES also had a hard time doing “Dance Medley” and “Random Play Dance” segments. EUN JIWON even tried to pretend that what they did was the original dance. All the members were in a competition to get hit with a hammer, which made everyone laugh.
In the “Rewriting my profile” segment, members couldn’t refuse the hosts’ request and sang the ”Confession Song” in a cute way.
