iKON rounded off Japan arena tour in great success… Has entertained total 322,000 fans this year
[스포츠조선닷컴=김준석 기자] iKON has successfully rounded off their second Japan arena tour.
iKON marked the grand finale of their second Japan arena tour on October 26 at National Yoyogi Stadium in Japan. The tour entertained total 176,000 fans in 16 shows held in six cities in Japan.
When including 146,000 fans that visited iKON’s first Japan arena tour held early this year, iKON has attracted total 322,000 people as the audience of their concerts in Japan only for this year. That is the highest number among singers who made debut in Japan in 2016, which also proves iKON’s big popularity in the country.
The last show of iKON’s second Japan arena tour was filled with the heat from more than 13,000 fans. When the opening music began, the concert hall was again filled with fans’ acclamations. The first song iKON presented for the show was “DUMB&DUMBER” which took No.1 on Oricon’s weekly CD singles ranking and the performance was kicked off by KOO JU-NE’s shouting “Party People”.
iKON heated up the atmosphere by giving the performances of “RHYTHM TA REMIX (Rock Ver.)”, “APOLOGY”, “AIRPLANE”, as well as “LOVE ME” and “JUST GO” that have never been released in Korea but included in iKON’s new single released in Japan and other hit songs “JUST ANOTHER BOY” and “CLIMAX”, songs that had been released before iKON’s official debut.
Plus, WINNER’s rapper SONG MINHO came upon the stage as a special guest, to perform “FULL HOUSE” and “HIT ME” of MOBB, the unit team of SONG MINHO and iKON’s BOBBY. Notably, iKON’s BOBBY presented a special performance of his solo track “HOLUP!” in Japanese for the first time.
Two shows were hosted on the day of the last concert of iKON’s second Japan arena tour. In the first show that began at 2:30PM, iKON members appeared on the encore stage in Halloween costumes, to further entertain fans with the special event.
In the second show that began at 6:30PM, iKON gave a double encore performance after an encore stage. For the double encore, iKON performed “RHYTHM TA REMIX (Rock Ver.) and expressed their gratitude for fans, to mark the finale of the tour.
