[OFFICIAL] iKON’s New Title Song is Titled ‘Killing Me’… ‘An Upbeat but Sad Track”
[OSEN=선미경기자] Group iKON is making comeback with a title song in a direct and shocking title, ‘Killing Me’.
On July 26 at 9 AM, YG Entertainment revealed iKON’s new poster that reveals the title song ‘Killing Me’ from their upcoming mini album through their official blog. The title ‘Killing Me’ which is a common phrase shared when one fiercely expresses his or her feelings grabs the viewers’ attention.
‘Killing Me’ was written and composed by B.I, while Joe Rhee and R.Tee participated in the composing and arrangement. The black and white poster of ‘Killing Me’ presents mature masculine beauties of iKON members.
B.I explained, “It’s a different genre from what we used to do. It’s an exciting track, but the lyrics are sad and lonely. The song is like a reply to a letter. Please focus on the commonly used phrase, ‘Killing Me’”.
iKON’s upcoming mini album ‘NEW KIDS:CONTINUE’ will be released on August 2. It will be the final edition of the trilogy series following ‘NEW KIDS:BEGIN’ released last year on May and ‘RETURN’ released back in January, and contains the meaning of continuing their passion and hard work.
After releasing their album, iKON will meet the fans through their first concert of ‘iKON 2018 CONTINUE TOUR’ on August 18 at 5 PM held in Seoul Olympic Gymnastics Arena. Starting from Seoul, iKON will perform in a total of 8 cities including Taipei, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Singapore, Manila, Jakarta, and Hong Kong. More concert locations will be announced in the future.
iKON topped major Korean music charts for 43 days in early 2018 with their song ‘LOVE SCENARIO’ and won 11 titles in music broadcasts with their mega hit. The group also topped charts in China and Japan. The popularity of ‘LOVE SCENARIO’ continued until recently and is climbing back up the charts and causing a ‘sing-along boom’ among elementary school students.
People are expecting iKON to dominate music charts once again in the 2nd half of 2018 with their title song ‘Killing Me’ and other new music.
