iKON’s MV for ‘KILLING ME’ Surpasses 100 Million Views… 2nd MV with Over 100 Million Views Following ‘LOVE SCENARIO’

[일간스포츠=김연지 기자] iKON’s MV for ‘KILLING ME’ surpassed 100 million views following ‘LOVE SCENARIO’, putting the group in joy.
As of February 8 at 8:30 PM, the MV for ‘KILLING ME’, the title song from iKON’s mini album titled ‘NEW KIDS : CONTINUE’, surpassed 100 million YouTube views. The video for ‘KILLING ME’ became the second video by iKON to surpass 100 million views following ‘LOVE SCENARIO’, proving the global fans’ heated interest and support.
iKON now has 2 MVs with over 100 million views with ‘LOVE SCENARIO’ at 200 million and ‘KILLING ME’ at 100 million views.
The MV for ‘LOVE SCENARIO’, the title song from iKON’s 2nd album ‘Return’ released last year on January 25 reached 100 million views on June 1st and reached 200 million views on November 1st, setting the group’s new record. The MV for ‘KILLING ME’ released last year on August 2nd also surpassed 100 million views in 6 months since its release, giving the group a valuable record.
To celebrate iKON’s new record, YG Entertainment revealed a celebratory poster through their official blog(www.yg-life.com). The images edited in black and white portrayed iKON’s unique charismatic, rough, and free charms.
The song ‘KILLING ME’ was written and composed by leader B.I. The riff composed of vintage piano tone and pluck synths create harmony with the melody to pass on the sad and lonely emotions one feels after a breakup. The point choreography of flicking the hips or nodding to the side also became a hot topic.
iKON’s ‘KILLING ME’ not only was placed at no. 1 on major Korean real-time charts as soon as the song was released, but also topped the K-Pop new releases chart of Kugou Music of China.
While receiving the heated love and support from in and out of Korea, iKON will step foot to the US next month. The group is expected to perform at ‘South by Southwest(SXSW)’, one of the largest music festivals in the world, on March 13th in Austin City Limits Live at the Moody Theater. They will decorate the finale of ‘SXSW Korea Spotlight’.
