[일간스포츠=김연지 기자] KIM HEE AE, a famous Korean actress, signed with an agency for the first time since her debut. She signed an exclusive contract with YG ENTERTAINMENT.
On Thursday, YG made a public announcement about the exclusive contract it signed with KIM HEE AE. She has never signed with any agency since her debut and chose YG as her first ever agency, which is why this contract is drawing attention. When asked about the reason for her choice, KIM HEE AE said, “At the first meeting with YG, I came to have complete trust in the agency about their professional and systematic management skills and deep understanding about and affection toward the actors they work with. And I’m very excited to work with them.”
KIM HEE AE is a leading actress in Korea who starred in numerous films and TV series: “The First Day of the Twentieth Year” (her debut film); “Sons and Daughters” and “The Stormy Season” (TV series aired on national network MBC); “The 101st Proposition” (film); “Precious Family” (TV series aired on national network KBS 2TV); “My Husband’s Woman” (TV series aired on national network SBS); “A Wife’s Credentials” and “Secret Love Affair” (TV series aired on cable network JTBC); “Thread of Lies” (film); and Mrs. Cop (her latest TV series aired on national network SBS). In 2013, she appeared in an entertainment program “Noona over Flowers” aired on cable network tvN and created a lot of buzz.
The contract with KIM HEE AE has strengthened YG’s presence and balance in actor management. And YG is expanding its actor management business, as it is joined by an increasing number of actors, including CHA SEUNG WON, CHOI JI WOO and GANG DONG WON, who recently signed with the agency.
