[Starcast] With Their Comeback Drawing Near, WINNER Takes Us Behind the Scenes of Their Music Videos for “SENTIMENTAL”& “BABY BABY”
WINNER is finally ready to make a comeback after a 17-month break. It took so long for WINNER to make a comeback, and they have put in an “all-out” effort to come up with a great album. We went behind the scenes of WINNER’s music videos and got hints about their new mini-album, which is to be released a week from today on February 1.
Their mini-album is titled “EXIT:E” and its double title tracks are “BABY BABY” and “SENTIMENTAL”.
We went behind the scenes of the music videos for those double title tracks. The shooting had gone on for more than a week in freezing cold weather but members were in high spirits. Now and then, they even turned into rascals to cheer up the tired staff.

1. Behind-the-scenes of “BABY BABY” MV
“BABY BABY” is one of the title tracks of WINNER’s new mini-album, and expectations are running high for this song thanks to the covers by top artists such as TAEYANG, LEE HI, Zion.T and Dean. Although the weather was so cold with the temperature running as low as – 20 degrees Celsius and members and the staff had to travel back and forth between Seoul and Incheon, they all worked hard for the music video. Even while fooling around with the staff, JINWOO turns professional in an instant when it’s his turn to shoot. He asks for advices from not only the director but also the staff and members. This shows that there is no question about his sincerity.

SEUNGHOON looking chic and serious!
SEUNGHOON entered the set wearing a leopard print jacket. When the camera started rolling, he wiped mischief off his face and turned all chic and manly. He was indeed a professional. We like the usual energetic SEUNGHOON but we also like this new lonely-guy like SEUNGHOON. We were able to see a whole new side of fun and bubbly SEUNGHOON.
SEUNGYOON and SEUNGHOON so happy to be together! It’s like a party for them and they’re excited!
Surrounded by wine bottles and balloons, SEUNGYOON and SEUNGHOON have big smiles on their faces. When they saw the set, they shouted that it looked awesome. Then they sat down and raised their glasses together. SEUNGHOON started fooling around again. We would really like to join them at the party!

Before the shoot, SEUNGYOON cheered up the mood with his jokes. But when the shoot began, he put on a charismatic stare. He’s a leader in every sense. SEUNGYOON looks innocent but chic at the same time. Which SEUNGYOON do you like better?
Monitoring is a must! Look at SEUNGYOON being all meticulous!
After shooting a scene, SEUNGYOON comes to monitor the shoot faster than anyone else. He not only monitors his part but also the parts of other members. We can see he is a perfectionist. He does his part as a leader and takes cares of the other members at the same time, demonstrating true leadership.
MINHO doing his thing! Looking like a true man!
MINHO does his share of monitoring. He sometimes gives his opinion and checks everything from costumes, expressions, gestures, and acting. Now and then, he surprises the staff by pointing out the smallest of things. This shows how passionate and detailed he is about his work. He looks so handsome concentrating in his work.
TAEHYUN with a new shocking hair color!
This time it’s TAEHYUN, the youngest among members. He has changed the color of his hair and received a huge response from the fans. He always has a mysterious air around him, but today it seemed more evident. We asked him to pose for us and he sent us this killer smile.
TAEHYUN was the last member to leave the set as he was the last to shoot his part. He must have been tired from the long hours but he didn’t show it and did his best until the very last minute. He even did extra shootings to get more satisfying results.

2. Behind-the-scenes of “SENTIMENTAL” MV
The shooting of “SENTIMENTAL” MV started on January 21. We headed off to the set in Namyangju. Members had started shooting from 8 AM. Most of the shootings group shots involving all the members so it was more easy and fun. Let’s see the behind-the-scenes images of “SENTIMENTAL” MV.
WINNER members gathered to monitor the first shoot!
As soon as they finished shooting the first group scene, they gathered in front of the screen to monitor the shoot. Rumor has it that they were so absorbed in the shoot they even broke the set lighting. It seems as if they were over excited to see their fans again.
Wait! MINHO looks somewhat different. He has a shocking new hairstyle! For the “SENTIMENTAL” MV, MINHO had hair pieces attached to make his hair look longer. The long hair looks good on him. Of course, the short hair had its charms but change is always a good thing. MINHO looked uncomfortable in his new hair but soon became very happy with it.
SEUNGHOON was an eye-catcher in his red outfit. He surprised everyone by putting on glasses and looking all intelligent. The red jacket adds color to his new look. If you watch the music video you would know, but the costumes of the “SENTIMENTAL” music video are very colorful and nice. The small props and sensual sets created a great harmony.
TAEHYUN doesn’t stop practicing the guitar even during the break.
TAEHYUN played the guitar to cheer up the tired staff. The guitar was a prop for the music video but TAEHYUN couldn’t keep his hands off it. TAEHYUN is known to love playing the guitar and with his glamorous jacket and blonde hair, TAEHYUN looked just like a rock star!
JINWOO playing the drums revealed for the first time!
TAEHYUN stole everyone’s heart with the guitar and JINWOO did the same with the drums. Apparently, JINWOO has been practicing the drums since last year. Usually, JINWOO appeals to the female fans with his doe eyes but when he is playing the dreams, his eyes turn all charismatic and fierce. JINWOO practiced even during the breaks and we’re so looking forward to see him in the music video.
SEUNGYOON’s surprise birthday party has begun.
These are shots of SEUNGYOON’s surprise birthday party! The day when the shooting started – January 21, was also SEUNGYOON’s birthday. Members and the staff prepared a birthday cake and were looking for the right time to give him the cake. When more than half of the shooting was done, TAEHYUN brought in the birthday cake.
Members saying happy birthday to SEUNGYOON!
Here it is! Five members in SEUNGYOON’s small birthday party! They were so shy when saying happy birthday. After wishing SEUNGYOON a happy birthday, they gave him the cake and sang him the happy birthday song. SEUNGYOON blew the candles and said thank you numerous times. And then photo time with the members! They have such a deep friendship.
The shooting continued after SEUNGYOON’s small birthday party until the wee hours of the morning. As the title implies, you can see the sentimental side of members in the “SENTIMENTAL” MV. It’s surely worth looking out for.
WINNER’s comeback is only a week away. Just like their debut album, members wrote and composed all the tracks of the to-be-released mini-album. Look out for the double title tracks- “BABY BABY” and “SENTIMENTAL”! There are also three music videos, two for the title tracks and one for “I’M YOUNG”. WINNER is making a comeback on February 1, and their new album will be as great as you have imagined!
