YG’s SONG YUNHYEONG Confirmed as iKON’s 5th Member, Following KOO JUNHOE
[OSEN=김사라 기자] SONG YUNHYEONG has been confirmed to be the second selected member who will join YG’s new boy group iKON.
On the 5 at 0am, a poster of iKON’s new member SONG YUNHYEONG selected through “MIX & MATCH” was posted on YG’s official blog. So, SONG YUNHYEONG has become the fifth member to join iKON, following B.I, BOBBY, KIM JINHWAN, and KOO JUNHOE.
Six members of “MIX & MATCH” except for B.I, BOBBY, and KIM JINHWAN, have competed in vote, with each one’s unique number. No.1 was KOO JUNHOE, No.2 SONG YUNHYEONG, No.3 KIM DONGHYUK, No.4 JUNG JINHYEONG, No.5 JUNG CHANWOO, and No.6 YANG HONGSEOK. They competed to become the member of iKON, in total three big matches: “pre-match”, “collaboration match”, and “final match”.
They have already been selected by fans in global fan meeting and voting held in China, Japan, and Korea, text messaging vote, Facebook on-line vote, and LINE mobile voting carried out from 11pm on the 30 until 0am on the 31 last month, whose result will be reflected in 70% of the final result. The other 30% will be reflected from judges’ scores, to select the final members of iKON.
As KOO JUNHOE and SONG YUNHYEONG have been confirmed to become the members of iKON, now, two more will be further selected. When the news of KOO JUNHOE’s selection was to be announced on the 4 at 0am, YG’s blog was down for a while because of too much access. The same situation took place on the 5, too. The third member of iKON who is creating sensation even before their debut, will be announced on the 6 at 0am, and the final member will be announced in “MIX & MATCH” show on the day.
Meanwhile, the final seven members of iKON will follow the footsteps of YG’s boy group and will start the process for their debut in earnest, by showing their talent and character on the opening stage of BIGBANG’s Japan five dome tour that will begin on the 15 and 16 in Nagoya.
