WINNER Proves Strength… “Keeping No.1 on 6 Music Charts for 3 Days
[OSEN=선미경 기자] YG’s rookie group WINNER is staying in the top place on six music charts for three consecutive days, with their debut song “empty”.
“empty”, the title track of WINNER’s debut album “2014 S/S” that was unveiled on the 12 at 0 o’clock, is in the No.1 place on the real-time charts of six music-streaming websites: Korea’s biggest music website Melon, Mnet, Genie, Bugs, Naver Music, and Daum Music, as of 7am on the 14.
Despite rising popularity of original sound tracks of SBS Wednesday-Thursday drama series “It’s OK, It’s Love” and MBC’s Wednesday-Thursday drama series “Fated to Love You”, WINNER is maintaining its No.1 on music charts, proving their high popularity. Notably, WINNER is drawing all the more attention by sweeping No.1 of charts and making all the songs in their debut album enter top places on music charts upon their debut.
“empty” is a rap and hip-hop song that expresses an empty feeling after breakup. WIN Team B’s B.I and BOBBY who competed against WINNER in “WIN” show wrote the song together and SONG MIN HO took part in writing its lyrics. The lyrics of the other double title track “Color Ring” were written by KANG SEUNG YOON, SONG MIN HO, and LEE SEUNG HOON, with KANG SEUNG YOON working as the main producer.
Other than WINNER’s songs, Ailee’s “Good Bye My Love”, part 6 of “Fate to Love You”’s original sound track, is in the No.1 place on Olleh Music and Monkey 3.
