[Music Talk Talk] iKON’s Strength was Always in Performances
[OSEN=김은애 기자] The biggest strength of iKON is their ability to put on great performances. Their music is great, but their performances are even better, and now that iKON will be going on music shows soon, expectations are running high.
iKON made a comeback on May 22 with “BLING BLING” and “B-DAY”. Fans have been looking forward to seeing their perfect performance, and this has been demonstrated in their music video views.
The music videos of “BLING BLING” and “B-DAY” recorded 5.6 million and 3.4 million YouTube views, respectively, in just four days after release. Combined, the two music videos surpassed the 8 million view mark.
Also, a host of dance cover and reaction videos have been posted on YouTube, demonstrating iKON’s global popularity.
The “BLING BLING” music video is a classic example of iKON’s powerful performance. The combination of iKON’s unique hip hop energy and perfectly synchronized dance is enough to catch anyone’s eye.
iKON members are wearing hoodies, but their dance moves are perfectly synchronized. In their individual parts, members show confident but relaxed gestures.
The “B-DAY” video shows off iKON members’ fresh and witty performance. While they sing “Let’s go and drink honey”, they really do dance moves that are reminiscent of bees. They also do free style dances that show they were really into the music during the shoot.
In an interview, members mentioned that the choreography for their recently released songs is the best since their debut. YANG HYUN SUK also coached them on how to do the point moves.
It is only natural that fans are highly anticipating seeing iKON on music shows. iKON will go on MBC’s Show! Music Core on May 27 and on SBS’s Inkigayo on May 28 and show off their upgraded charms.
iKON revealed the dance practice video of “BLING BLING” earlier on, and this has raised the expectations for their comeback stage. Now all we have to do is to wait and see iKON’s powerful and swaggy stage. There is no member in iKON that cannot dance, and this is all the more reason why iKON’s comeback stage is worth waiting for.
