WINNER’s sensational promotion: Unveils debut album +3 M/V
[스타뉴스 길혜성 기자] New group WINNER is to make an official debut by revealing a whopping 3 music videos.
At 0 hour of August 12, WINNER is to unveil all the tracks in their debut album, making an official debut in the music world. The offline version will be out on August 14.
YG Entertainment, one of the largest agencies in South Korea, is unveiling its first boy group in 8 years since BIGBANG. To celebrate this YG held a grand-scale Launching Show on August 6. YG is showing full support for the group, and the fact that WINNER already filmed a whopping 3 music videos is a proof.
Person familiar with the matter told Star News on August 7, “WINNER already filmed the M/V’s for the double title tracks ‘Color Ring,’ ‘empty’ and SONG MINHO’s solo song ‘I’M HIM.’ It is very rare for a new group to film this many videos, and it shows YG’s devotion for WINNER’s success.”
According to a report, there may be some changes but YG’s current plan is certainly sensational: to unveil all the 3 music videos when WINNER releases the debut album.
There have been a number of cases where new artists unveiled music videos sequentially, but it is the first time a group, especially a new one, is releasing 3 at the same time.
This sensational promotion once again proves YG’s support for WINNER, a group that already secured a grand-scale fandom home and abroad.
WINNER achieved victory in a former survival audition program “WIN: WHO IS NEXT” aired on Mnet last October. Before the debut they also appeared on “WINNER TV” while opening BIGBANG’s Japan’s 6 largest dome tour, garnering much popularity. A very first fan-meeting event held last year in Japan attracted 8,000 fans.
