WINNER Releases Debut Album “2014 S/S” Off-Line Today (14)
[OSEN=선미경 기자] YG’s rookie boy group WINNER’s debut album “2014 S/S” is released off-line on the 14 this month.
Three different versions of WINNER’s debut album are released, which include two limited editions and one launching edition. The off-line album package consists of CD, photo book, photo polaroid, and single-sided poster.
The album contains total 10 tracks including its double title tracks – track No.1 “empty” and track No.2 “Color Ring”. Songs of a variety of genres are included in the album, and the lyrics and melody of all the songs were written by WINNER themselves. The album is drawing all the more attention for such demonstration of WINNER’s talent for songwriting.
Plus, WINNER’s talent for producing is well demonstrated in their debut album, as they worked as the main producer for a number of songs. Solo tracks such as “I’m him” by SONG MIN HO and NAM TAE HYUN, as well as “Confession” are catching the eyes of the public, too.
Before the release of the off-line album, WINNER created sensation by unveiling the music of their debut album “2014 S/S” on-line, on the 12 at 0 o’clock. Upon the disclosure of the music, WINNER topped real-time charts of nine music-streaming websites in Korea. WINNER has also drawn a big attention, making all the songs in the debut album enter top places on charts.
WINNER has also proven their popularity in Asian countries, by taking the top place on iTunes album charts of five countries: Cambodia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, and Indonesia, as of the 14.
Meanwhile, WINNER will unveil their first TV performance in SBS “INKIGAYO” on the 17. On the 15, they will have an official debut performance in “YG Family Concert” of “AIA REAL LIFE : NOW FESTIVAL 2014” that will be held in the main stadium of Jamsil Sports Complex in Seoul.
