[enews24 = 김지연 기자] Group BIGBANG’s TAEYANG has recently been performing as a solo artist with his new song “Eyes, Nose, Lips”. The song is recently drawing more attention, as it is called by TAEYANG’s fans, in an interesting name “Zom, Nose, Lips”.
Even though it has been already six weeks since the release of “Eyes, Nose, Lips” on the 2 last month, the song is still sweeping top places on music charts, including the No.1 on Melon chart, beating all the new songs that enter charts.
Fans are comparing the unending popularity of “Eyes, Nose, Lips” to the unending life of zombies, to call the song “Zom, Nose, Lips”.
Such a case, where a song enjoys a long-run on charts for over a month despite a frequent change in the No.1 by a flood of new songs into charts, is very exceptional. It shows that TAEYANG’s evolution as a vocalist is greatly appealing to fans.
“Eyes, Nose, Lips” took the No.1 for the fourth time on Melon’s weekly chart and also took the top place for five consecutive times on Trend chart’s weekly album trend segment. It has also won total eight No.1 trophies in music ranking shows of four major broadcating networks in Korea: Mnet, SBS, MBC, KBS2.
Meanwhile, TAEYANG will appear in KBS2 “Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook” on the 11.
