BOM, the first member of YG’s ‘New Unit’: YG+Samsung Music project kick-off
[스타뉴스 문완식 기자] The first member of YG Entertainment’s upcoming ‘New Unit’ was 2NE1’s BOM.
YG Entertainment, at 0 hour on Dec 14 on its official blog YG LIFE (http://www.yg-life.com), revealed a teaser image of BOM in a white dress looking sideways, along with a 50-second long video clip.

This unit is a project collaborated by Samsung Music, which is provided by Samsung Electronics, the largest scale music provider in South Korea, with YG Entertainment. The collaboration is done to kick start Samsung Music’s opening in South Korea, and BOM became the first member for it.

YG’s ‘New Unit’, the first ‘YG x SAMSUNG MUSIC’ project, is expected to bring a wave of sensation in the world music market that is focusing on K-Pop, as it is collaboration between a major global corporate Samsung and one of South Korea’s largest entertainment agencies YG.
The new song for this new unit is a cover song of Mariah Carey ‘ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMANS IS YOU’. At 0 hour of Dec 17, the song will be unveiled for the first time through Samsung Music and will be uploaded exclusively for 3 days, and then it will be available on all music websites from Dec 20.
